Safeguarding

A teacher runs Bravito with their class in the room. Pupils answer the work that is set. They do not message an AI.

The teacher sees the lesson

You see the boards, the polls and the class record. If something a pupil writes concerns you, you follow your school’s safeguarding policy. Bravito does not alert a parent, a helpline or a designated safeguarding lead for you.

What pupils can send

They answer the questions you set, respond to polls, and draw or write on a Show Me board. You can watch those boards as they are drawn, and you can put one up for the class without a name.

Word clouds and open-text answers are checked against a short list of obvious swear words and slurs before the class sees them. That check does not look for self-harm, abuse or distress, and it does not signpost anyone. You see each answer with the name the pupil typed, and you can hide any of them from the board. The class sees those answers without names.

Names

Pupils type what you ask for when they join: a first name and surname initial (the default), a pupil number you give them, or a full name. With pupil numbers, real names stay on your computer. Rude names are refused at the door, and you can turn away anyone you don’t recognise. Scored answers stay on the class record you see. Polls are not named on the board. You can hide names on the Gravity scoreboard.

Accounts

Pupils do not have Bravito accounts, emails or passwords. There is no parent login that watches a live lesson.

AI, ads and nudges

You can ask Bravito to draft questions from your notes or slides, and you check them before they are used. Pupils never chat to an AI, and their answers are not sent to one. Pupil screens have no ads, and no streaks or nudges aimed at keeping a child on the screen.

How names and answers are stored is on the privacy page.
