Pupil names, initials and pupil numbers
Choose how much of a pupil’s name Bravito keeps: initial, number or full name.
In Settings → Pupil names you choose one rule for all your classes:
- First name and initial (default): Bravito stores "Sam T". Anything longer that a pupil types is cut to the initial.
- Pupil numbers only (private mode): pupils join with a number you give them. Real names stay on your computer, locked with your key file, so Bravito's servers hold no pupil names at all. Bravito checks the number is on your class list when a pupil joins, and links them to the right pupil straight away.
- Full names: only if your school is happy for full names to be stored.
In pupil-number mode you see real names on your own screens (the live console, the class record, activity pages) once your key file is loaded in that browser. Pupils' devices only ever show their number. Print a number list from the class's Pupils tab to hand out.
